The need for a strong, adaptable architecture requires a long-term vision.

Architecture

At LoQutus we perceive business architecture and IT architecture as indispensable disciplines to bridge the divide between strategy and execution.

We believe that a holistic, enterprise-wide approach (to translate long-term business and IT requirements – such as the ones articulated in a corporate strategy – into future-state architectures) is the key to a successful definition and implementation of the strategic project portfolio roadmap.  From our experience enterprise architecture generates the most added-value when playing a big part in the definition and planning of strategic projects.

Designing future-state architectures that support the strategic and operation goals is one thing, realizing them and putting them to work is something else.

LoQutus can rely on many years of experience in the field of solution architecture, handling the design as well as the realization and implementation.  We have always differentiated ourselves – and proven very successful in many occasions - by putting the solutions within a broader context.  By linking user requirements to business process activities and business information flows we avoid delivering business systems that are disconnected from day-to-day realities.  By aligning technical requirements with the in-place IT infrastructure we avoid delivering solutions that behave as silos and are hard to manage.

Enterprise architecture and solution architecture go hand in hand but they need to be aligned with other disciplines as well. Architecture governance   - typically supported by a managed set of processes, policies and principles – ties the architecture practice with disciplines such as business planning, project management, solution delivery, business process management and IT service management. The goal of architecture governance is two-fold: to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the different collaborations and to provide transparency in decision-making.
